Who Are We?
It’s always a little awkward to write about yourself, but here goes.
I’m Joanne, (and I will do most of the writing) Travel Corfu is a collection of ideas and passions I share with my English Greek partner David.
We met in 2001, young and fresh faced working within the Tourism Industry in Bodrum, Turkey. Both of us have travelled throughout or lives, living and working in various locations – Jersey, Austria and Japan to name a few.
Together with our three children Charlie (2007), Megan (2008) and Olive (2011) we have been developing our Greek roots since 2016, where we fell madly in love with the island.

I’ve been running my own business around our children since 2008. I primarily write a blog for mums in business alongside organising various small business networking events in and around Dorset.
Since reconnecting with David’s Greek heritage in 2016 we have become obsessed with all things Corfu. Being a family of 5 and running an online business our pace of life is fast and furious, the slower, gentiler, less concerned with perfection way of life really appeals to me.
David
After studying Tourism at college I spent my youth working in various hotels around Europe. As a self-employed HETAS engineer and chimney sweep, I enjoy the variety in clients, contracts and the flexibility that gives to spend time with my family.
I’ve always had a keen interest in wildlife and nature which I shared with my Grandad and now pass on to our children, building ponds, bird boxes and growing our own veg. Young Charlie even won Highly Commended for his wildlife friendly garden in 2017. Sadly nobody seems to share the same level of enthusiasm for my Bonsai tree collection.
